This article describes how to publish applications in XenApp 6 Fundamentals Edition.

Requirements

Full Administrative rights on a server running XenApp 6 Fundamentals Edition.

Instructions

Use the following steps to complete the task:
  1. Log on to the Master Server using an Administrator account. In the Quick Start tool on the Master server, go to Setup > Applications and under Required Tasks, select Publish Application.

  1. On the Welcome Wizard, select Next.

  2. Select the application(s) to publish. Click Next. (If you do not see the application in the list, click Add to locate the application’s executable file.)

Note: These applications must be installed and working on each server in the Server Group prior to running the application publishing wizard.

  1. Click Add to select specific Groups/Users/Objects to access the applications. In this case, all Domain Users will be granted access to the published applications.

  1. Review the applications and click Finish.

  2. Open a Web browser on a client and type the URL for the Web Interface site hosting the applications. This URL is on the Applications tab of the Quick Start tool. Log on to the site using credentials for an existing user account in the domain or workgroup.

  1. Once authenticated, icons for available published resources will be visible. Double-click the Calculator icon to launch it.

  1. Click Yes on the Security warning and the application launches.
