Description

When importing a license file in the XenApp 6.0 License Administration Console, the following error occurs:

Inconsistent server host ID in C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\Licensing\MyFiles\license_xxxxxxx.lic.

Resolution

  • Note: The Citrix License Administration Console has reached End of Life (EOL) and End of Support (EOS) in Citrix Licensing 11.16.3. Use the Citrix Licensing Manager.

Apply the latest available Citrix Licensing updates. A fix in Version 11.9 is included and can be downloaded at – Citrix Licensing Downloads.
Complete one of the following solutions to resolve this error:

Solution 1

  1. On the error page, click OK.

  2. Click Administer.

  3. Click Re-Read License File.

  4. Click Dashboard.

Solution 2

  1. Re-download all licenses consolidated in one single license file. Refer to CTX128488 – How to Re-download a License File.

Note: Do not use the XenApp 6.0 License Administration Console to upload the license file.

  1. Log on to the License Server.

  2. Copy the license file directly into C:\Program Files(x86)\Citrix\Licensing\MyFiles.

  3. Stop and restart the CitrixLicensing Service.

  4. Stop and restart the CitrixLicensing WMI Service. If this service is set to Manual, set it to Automatic.

  5. Ensure that the CitrixLicensing WMI service is running.

  6. Check the License Administration Console.
