What's new on the Citrix Knowledge Center

You may have noticed some changes to support.citrix.com. We've been gathering feedback and usage information and have used your suggestions to redesign the site. With our new search capabilities, simplified information architecture, and an updated content notification system, you will be able to find what you're looking for quickly and accurately. As a group, we want to be more responsive to your needs, so continue to provide us with comments and suggestions. We do value them!

Improved Searching

The new, Google™-powered Knowledge Center search is live. Featuring improved performance and a modern, refinement-oriented interface, it's designed to give you the results you are looking for faster and more consistently. The Simple Search field on the navigation menu finds content in English. To find content in other languages, use the Advanced Search option.

RSS Feeds and Email Alerts

We've incorporated RSS feeds as a way to be notified about new and updated content. Any RSS reader that supports RSS 2.0 can be used to subscribe to our RSS feeds. Email Alerts are available for hotfixes and security bulletins; you can use RSS to watch other content types. With the simplified Email Alerts system and RSS working together, we allow you to stay up to date on the latest information without cluttering your inbox.

Improved Article Rating

You can now rate articles on our site dynamically using our revamped rating system, which allows you to rate articles without being taken to a different Web page. Additionally, each article offers the option to send extended feedback to us.

Product-centric Architecture

Information on this site is no longer organized by content type (for example, hotfixes or product documentation). The left navigation menu now contains links to product version-specific landing pages. These landing pages offer content tabs that link you directly to applicable hotfixes, tools, knowledge base (KB) topics, product documentation, and learning resources.

Social Bookmarking

Found an article that you would like to share on Digg or del.icio.us? You now have the option to save the content to either site. This feature allows you to share helpful content on our site with the rest of the world. Social bookmarking provides a simple, effective way to see what content is important to other Citrix users.

Breadcrumb Navigation

Contextual links (also known as breadcrumbs) exist on every page as an additional navigation method and as a reference point to your current location on the site. Breadcrumbs function as navigational shortcuts and help you become more familiar with how the site is structured.

Building a Community

To provide an easier way for Citrix users to interact with each other, we have created a wiki-based community at community.citrix.com. Here you can experience a higher level of interactivity with wikis, blogs, podcasts, downloads, and forums.

This community site enables two-way communication and promotes more open discussion regarding Citrix technologies.

The new Citrix Developer Network hosts the SDKs, scripts, and tools that were located in the Developer Center of the Knowledge Center. There you will find a mix of new and previously released articles and downloads focused on Presentation Server software development.
