You are Prompted for an MSI Package while Repairing the Streaming Profiler or XenApp Plugin for Streamed Apps

Symptoms

On a computer that has multiple drives, where a secondary drive has more available free space than the primary drive, the Windows Installer may prompt for the XenAppStreaming.msi or Citrix Streaming Profiler.msi package source during repair operations on the Citrix XenApp Plugin for Streamed Apps or the Citrix Streaming Profiler.

Cause

This is a result of the default behavior of Windows Installer. When a system has multiple drives, Windows Installer sets the ROOTDRIVE property to the drive letter that has the most free space available. This may cause Windows Installer to prompt for the source .msi file during a maintenance operation for an installed package.

Resolution

If you are prompted for XenAppStreaming.msi, cancel the request and initiate the repair by double-clicking XenAppStreaming.exe.

If you are prompted for Citrix Streaming Profiler.msi, locate and select the requested package.
