Symptoms

While editing a Microsoft Office document from a SharePoint site, you receive an error message indicating that an associated editor is not available even though you have streamed the associated application.

Cause

Internet Explorer should be running inside the application isolation environment.

Workaround

Connect to SharePoint from a copy of Internet Explorer launched from the streamed application. Internet Explorer can be launched from within an isolation environment by clicking on any URL from a streamed application.

-Or-

You can launch Internet Explorer manually by browsing to the \Program Files\Internet Explorer directory and double-clicking iexplore.exe.

More Information

This workaround works only with streamed-to-client or desktop applications. For streamed-to-server applications, Internet Explorer does not run in an isolation environment.
