After installing and configuring the new Citrix Receiver for HTML5 v1.1, applications opened on Internet Explorer 10 disconnect with the following error message after remaining idle for about 30 seconds.

“Cannot reach server. Check your network connection or contact your help desk for assistance.”

Solution

Complete the following steps:
  1. Within the local corporate network, on your XenApp 6.5 server, download and install CTX135757 - Hotfix XA650R01W2K8R2X64051 - For Citrix XenApp 6.5 for Windows Server 2008 R2 - English without uninstalling XenApp 6.5 Feature Pack 1 available on http://www.citrix.com/ in the Downloads section.

  2. Restart the XenApp 6.5 server after installing the preceding hotfix.

If you are connecting through Citrix Access Gateway, enure that the access gateway is updated to the latest version 71.6014 or later.
