Users cannot change certain properties of a redirected session printer, including the ‘Print directly to the printer’ option under Advanced Settings.
The following message appears:
Printer settings could not be saved.
Access is denied.
Users cannot change the setting because the Log On account for the Citrix Print Manager Service is set to something other than the Local System account. This is the default setting. The normal behavior is to inherit the print settings from the local desktop, however in some instances the settings might not carry over and the only option is to change them within the session.
Change the Log On account to the Local System account and test again.
