Troubleshooting XenServer deployments

As more organizations leverage Citrix XenServer to virtualize and consolidate production workloads, fast and accurate troubleshooting techniques are critical for problem resolution. Effective troubleshooting, in turn, depends upon an understanding of how to collect the right information to expedite the process. This session reviews XenServer troubleshooting tools such as tcpdump, strace, x86info and memory dump techniques, as well as demonstrating how low-level hypervisor commands can be used for effective troubleshooting.

In this session you will learn:

    • How to collect the appropriate data from a XenServer environment

    • How to use key tools to optimise troubleshooting

Technical level: Intermediate
