Symptoms

After upgrading to Web Interface 5.3, all connections made from the Citrix Receiver for iPad or iPhone appear in the Delivery Services Console with a client name of “mobile”

Cause

Web Interface 5.3 turns OverRideClientName to Off, by default.

Resolution

  1. Close the Web Interface Administration Console.
  2. Navigate to the XenApp Services config file (default \inetpub\wwwroot\citrix\pnagnet\conf\webinterface.conf)
  3. Open the WebInterface.conf in Notepad.
  4. Locate the Following Line:
    #OverrideIcaClientname=Off
    Change it to:
    OverrideIcaClientname=On

    When you reconnect to your applications the Client Name should appear identifying the device more accurately:
