This article describes how to enable verbose logging during Web Interface 5.x installation issues.
Web Interface 5.x
It is often important for troubleshooting purposes to obtain detailed information of the Web Interface installation process for pin-pointing the root cause of an issue.
1. Place the WebInterface.exe file under the root directory (C:\)
2. Open the Command Prompt, go to the root directory, and type the following command:
C:\WebInterface.exe –v “c:\filename.log”
Note: Make sure to include the quotes (“) when specifying the log file path.
This command generates a file called filename.log under the C: drive and it starts the installation process.
