Summary
This document contains the known limitations of running Citrix EdgeSight 4.5 and later with Microsoft SQL 2000 and Reporting Services 2000. Citrix recommends running SQL Reporting Services 2005 or later in conjunction with EdgeSight 4.5 and later to achieve maximum functionality and usability.
Reports Containing Hyperlinks
The four summary reports listed below do not permit a user to drill down on any of the charts within the report. You can no longer click the hyperlink.
• Process Summary
• Network Summary
• Network Transaction Summary
• User Summary
Within detail reports, drilling down on a hyperlinked filter parameter that contains certain multiple-byte characters (for example: Ä) does not properly filter data when the report is rendered again.
This feature functions properly in SQL 2005 and 2008.
Pre-populated User Names in Reports
After selecting and generating a report where a user name is a required field, selecting other similar reports pre-populated with the user name field fail. All preceding reports pre-populate the user name field as DOMAINUSERNAME instead of DOMAIN\USERNAME, as would be expected. The “\” is missing; however, using the picker generates the report properly.
This feature functions properly in SQL 2005 and 2008.
Selecting Users for Related Reports
Some user-based reports allow you to select a specific user to generate related reports. The related reports selection appears in a modal window. However, a “Bad Request” error blank modal window may appear depending on the first letter of the user name. This is related to the way SQL 2000 handles character encoding.
This feature functions properly in SQL 2005 and 2008.
