Summary

When Citrix Program Neighborhood Agent, version10.100 or later, tries to connect to a Web Interface Server, an informational balloon appears with the following message:

“Program Neighborhood Agent is trying to find an available remote server”

Background

By default this message appears after five seconds of attempting to contact the Web Interface Server.

Procedure

The default delay value of five seconds can be configured to another value by using the following procedure.

Caution! This procedure requires you to edit the registry. Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Back up the registry before you edit it.

1. Edit the following registry key:

HKEY_CLASSES_USER\Software\Citrix\Program Neighborhood Agent\Status View Options 000

The value contains the following data (stored as BINARY format):

<DelayTime>50</DelayTime>

2. The number 50 above represents tenths of a second. Change this value to a larger value to increase the delay time.
