Summary
This article describes how to reallocate a Citrix Presentation Server license on the MyCitrix Web site.
Requirements
A valid user name on the MyCitrix Web site belonging to the company the license is registered to.
Background
Citrix licenses are issued for a particular Citrix license server, which must be entered into the license prior to the download. The license cannot be edited later to enter a different server name. You may have to change the license server name sometimes. To enter a new Citrix license server name, the license must be returned on the MyCitrix Web site and rehosted again.
Procedure
1. Log on at the MyCitrix Web site.
2. Open the Activation System / Manage Licenses toolbox.
3. Select the View or Return Licenses for Rehosting or Download License Files tab.
4. Select the licenses to be returned.
5. Click the Return button.

6. Select the Reallocate tab.
7. Select the check boxes corresponding to the licenses you want to reallocate (1).
8. Type the amount of licenses you need in the Quantity to Allocate field (2).
9. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and type the new hostname in the Hostname of your Citrix license server field (3).
10. Click Generate (4).

Note: The hostname is case-sensitive. It is just the hostname, NOT the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) of the Citrix license server.
Also, the hostname for licenses, which are to be applied at an Access Gateway device, is the FQDN of the external network adapter.
11. On the next page, check and confirm everything.
Note: The old hostname is sometimes displayed here.
12. Download the rehosted license to your Citrix license server.
