Error: The Resource You Requested Cannot be Accessed Because the Streaming Client is Not Installed on Your System

Symptoms

When attempting to stream applications to client systems, you receive the following error message if the clients connect through Citrix Access Gateway Enterprise Edition:

"The resource you requested cannot be accessed because the streaming client is not installed on your system."

You see the error message when clicking on the icon for a streamed application on the Web Interface site while connected through the Access Gateway Enterprise SSL VPN.

However, the application launches correctly when using Program Neighborhood Agent.

Resolution

When Web Interface 4.6 is integrated with Advanced Access Control 4.2 and Citrix Access Gateway Enterprise Edition 8.0:

In the WebInterface.conf file, either add the following line if it does not exist or modify the line if it exists by changing off to on:

[ EnableClientDetectionForAG=on ]

If modifying the WebInterface.conf file is not an option:

In the Published Application properties, on the Application Type screen, configure the application to stream to the Presentation Server desktop.
