Important Note(s) about this Release

  • Caution! This release may require you to edit the registry. Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.
  • When you upgrade the agent software, the process.xml, applist.ini, and mfrmlist.ini files are backed up in their original folder location by the upgrade process. This preserves the agent settings; to revert to those settings, replace the process.xml, applist.ini, and mfrmlist.ini files created by the upgrade process with these backed up files.
  • A full installation of the agent software deletes any previous installation files and information related to previous installations.

  • Canceling the installation of the agent software may delete previous installation files and information related to previous installations. This might cause the client device to become unstable, requiring the agent software be repaired or re-installed.

  • After installing this Hotfix, the Repair option available from the support information link in the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel does not work as expected. Before running the Repair option, see Knowledge Center article CTX111036 for more information.

Issue(s) Resolved in this Release

  1. CPU usage might spike on client devices where both the Password Manager Agent software and other types of client software that support embedded web browser controls are installed. After applying this fix, set the following registry key to block unsupported web host software:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Citrix\MetaFrame Password Manager\Extensions\AccessManager
    Name: UnsupportedWebHost
    Type: REG_SZ
Data: the executable name(s) of the program(s) to block, such as abc_ftp.exe

    [#158247]

  2. Some special characters, such as the "@" symbol, might not be sent to applications that receive credential information using SendKeys.

    [#163921]

  3. Under certain environmental conditions, duplicate, missing or out of sync credentials might be generated.

    [#164212]

  4. This is an enhancement that allows users to force synchronization of their credentials from the notification icon menu.

    [#164213]

  5. Credentials sent using SendKeys might not be submitted to the correct application if another application is attempting to gain focus. This fix introduces a new setting, Application window focus, which can be set to verify that the correct application has focus.

After applying this fix, enable Application window focus in the Advanced Settings section of the Form Actions window for each application that uses SendKeys.

    [#164783]

  6. Under some circumstances, not all users are correctly redirected to a new central store as defined in the Presentation Server Console.

    [#165747]

  7. Certain terminal emulation programs might freeze while the Password Manager Agent software is in use.

    [#167766]
