Background
An administrator may want to customize the Web-based interface that users see when connected to Access Essentials. Customization requires the Access Management Console, an advanced tool included with Access Essentials. The first time that the Access Management Console opens, a process called configuration and discovery runs.
Procedure
Launch the Access Management Console and run discovery:
- Open the Quick Start tool on the master server.
- Click Resources > Citrix Resources > Access Management Console
- Click Next to begin the configuration.
- Ensure that all components are selected and click Next.
- Click Add and type the name of the server. Type localhost for the server name.
- Click OK to confirm the server name. Click Next to continue.
- Click Add Local Computer and click Next.
- Click Finish after the discovery has completed. The Access Management Console launches.
Configure the user interface for internal and external sites:
- Launch the Access Management Console using the steps described above.
- Expand the Citrix Resources > Configuration Tools > Web Interface node in the left pane of the Access Management Console.
- Select Internal Site to customize the site for internal users.
- Click the Customize appearance for user task.
- Click Appearance to customize the header and footer and branding color.
- Configure the branding options and click OK to apply the changes.
Note: The branding page allows an administrator to configure the following options:
- Display/hide header
- Display/hide footer
- Branding color
- Logo hyperlink (optional)
- Title bar background color
- Title bar text color
- Click Content to customize the welcome message and footer text.
- Configure the message options and click OK to apply the changes.
Note: The welcome area and message center page allows an administrator to configure the following options:
- Welcome message text (the default message is offered in several languages or a custom message can be typed)
- Footer text
- Click OK to apply all changes.
- Repeat the process for the External Site for external users.
