Symptoms
After enabling the defaultprnflag in the server registry to allow administrators to manage autocreated client printers and applying Hotfix Rollup Pack 2, administrators receive the following message when trying to access the local settings for client printers autocreated with the Universal Printer Driver (UPD):
“Citrix Universal Printer printer driver is not installed on this computer. Some properties will not be accessible unless you install the printer driver. Do you want to install the driver now?”
Cause
This message is generated because the local settings for printers autocreated with the UPD reside on the client side. The proper and supported way for administrators to manage these settings is to shadow the user’s session.
Resolution
This informational message can be suppressed by installing Hotfix Rollup Pack 3.
