Symptoms
When using a version earlier than 10.0 of the Presentation Server Client, icons for seamlessly published applications in a system's Windows Task List (to access the Windows Task List, press ALT+TAB) display "ICA" as part of the image. Refer to the second and fourth icons from the left in the following screen shot:
Cause
This is by design.
Status
Starting with version 10.0 of the Presentation Server Client, the behavior has been changed to not add "ICA" as part of the bitmap. This provides a more seamless integration of local and remote applications. Refer to the following screen shot:
Note: The text that appears for each application while tabbing through the Windows Task List remains unchanged and still includes "\\Remote" at the end of the string.
