This document is intended to provide an official response from Citrix with respect to support for Microsoft Internet Explorer 7, Microsoft Windows Vista, and Microsoft Office 2007 in the Citrix Access Gateway product line. Currently shipping and future releases will be covered for the Citrix Access Gateway Standard, Advanced, and Enterprise Editions.
Citrix is firmly committed to supporting the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system in the Access Gateway product line. Support for Vista will be gradual, though full coverage is expected over the next six (6) months across the entire Access Gateway product. The following matrix highlights key Vista deliverables across all three editions of Access Gateway:

Access Gateway Standard Edition:
Legacy Versions – 4.0 (End of Maintenance (EOM) – 12/31/2006),
4.1 (EOM – 12/31/2006), 4.2 (EOM – 07/01/2007):
Internet Explorer 7, Office 2007, and Windows Vista will not be supported in legacy product versions. Customers are encouraged to upgrade to the latest releases of Access Gateway Standard Edition, which do support these software packages.
Currently Shipping – Access Gateway 4.5.5 Standard Edition:
• Office 2007: Access Gateway Standard Edition does not have any direct integration with Microsoft Office. There are currently no known compatibility issues.
• Internet Explorer 7: Internet Explorer 7 is fully supported in Access Gateway 4.5.5 Standard Edition.
• Windows Vista: The Secure Access Client for Microsoft Vista is currently supported on the 32-bit operating system.
Access Gateway Advanced Edition:
Legacy Versions – MetaFrame Secure Access Manager 2.2 (EOM - 6/30/2007), Access Gateway Enterprise 4.0 (EOM – 12/31/2006),
Access Gateway and Advanced Access Control 4.2 (EOM – 7/1/2007):
Internet Explorer 7, Office 2007, and Windows Vista will not be supported in legacy product versions. Customers are encouraged to upgrade to the latest releases of Access Gateway Advanced Edition, which do support these software packages.
Currently Shipping – Access Gateway 4.5 Advanced Edition:
• Office 2007: There is no support for Office 2007 with Access Gateway 4.5 Advanced Edition.
• Internet Explorer 7: Internet Explorer is fully supported in Access Gateway 4.5 Advanced Edition Hotfix 1.
• Windows Vista: The Secure Access Client for Windows Vista is compatible with Access Gateway Advanced Edition. Advanced Access Control functionality, such as Smart Access, is not supported with Access Gateway Advanced Edition.
Future Releases:
• Office 2007: Support for Office 2007 is anticipated in the next major release of Access Gateway Advanced Edition, expected to be available in Q2 2008.
• Internet Explorer 7: Internet Explorer is fully supported in Access Gateway 4.5 Advanced Edition Hotfix 1.
• Windows Vista: Support for the Vista Secure Access Client was included in Access Gateway 4.5 Advanced Edition Hotfix 1. Beta Windows Vista support (Endpoint Analysis and other functions) is currently scheduled to be included in Access Gateway 4.5 Advanced Edition Hotfix 3, which is targeted for Q1 - Q2 2008. Full Microsoft Vista support is currently scheduled to be included in the next major release of Access Gateway Advanced Edition, expected to be available in Q2 2008.
Access Gateway Enterprise Edition:
Currently Shipping – Access Gateway 8.0 Enterprise Edition:
• Office 2007: Access Gateway Enterprise Edition does not have any direct integration with Microsoft Office. There are currently no known compatibility issues.
• Internet Explorer 7: Internet Explorer 7 has been tested and is fully supported in Access Gateway Enterprise Edition.
• Windows Vista: All available VPN clients (version 8.0 and earlier) are not supported under Windows Vista.
Future Releases:
• Office 2007: Access Gateway Enterprise Edition does not have any direct integration with Microsoft Office. There are no anticipated compatibility issues.
• Internet Explorer 7: Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 is fully supported in Access Gateway Enterprise Edition 8.0.
• Windows Vista: A public beta client will be included with the 8.0 distribution for VPN functionality in Q4 2007. Full Vista support including Endpoint Analysis and other features will be added in Q2 2008.
