Description

The SQL Replication Test Tool is designed to troubleshoot issues with SQL Immediate Updating Transactional Replication.

Installing the SQL Replication Test Tool

Create a stored procedure on the IMA subscriber database by running the DSRepCheck stored procedure.

How To Use the SQL Replication Test Tool

Note: Remember to back up the database before running any database utilities.

Running the tool through Query Analyzer:

  1. Connect to the subscriber database as the IMA user account.
  2. Set the results to text in the SQL Server Management Studio. Refer to the following screen shot:

  1. Issue the following command:

    dsrepcheck <publisher_sql>,<publisher_database>


    Where <publisher_sql>, is the name of the SQL server acting as the publisher and <publisher_database> is the name of the published database on the publisher. Refer to the following screen shot:

Using a script:

  1. Create a file called sql.txt with the following SQL statements from the example caller script contained in the .zip file attached to this article (CallerScript for DSRepCheck 4.1.txt).
  2. Issue the following command to execute the script through the command line:

    Osql –S <> -U sa –P citrix –I c:\sql.txt >> out.txt
