Symptoms
After replacing the evaluation license files on the Citrix license server with retail license files, the Citrix product still displays the license expiry message upon logon:
“Warning: The following Citrix Product is using an Evaluation license. This license will expire in…”
Resolution
1. Remove the old evaluation license files from the license server.
2. On the license server, restart the Citrix Licensing service or select Update License data on the Configuration page of the License Management Console.
3. Using the Presentation Server Console, point the server(s) to a bogus license server name and then point the product back to the actual license server.
4. If the product is Presentation Server for UNIX, restart the License Server’s daemon for Citrix Presentation Server for UNIX. Run ctxsrv stop lsd and then run ctxsrv start lsd on the Citrix Presentation Server for UNIX License server.
5. If steps 1-4 do not resolve the issue, reboot the Citrix product server.
