Summary

This article describes how to change the license status of an IP phone.

Background

When the Application Gateway accepts a connection from an IP phone, it records the Media Access Control (MAC) address of the phone. Once the maximum allowed licenses are associated with phones, additional connection attempts results in an error message.

You can free licenses for other phones by changing the status of an obsolete phone to unlicensed.

Procedure

  1. In the Administration Tool, go to the Operation > Advanced page.
You are prompted to log on to the Application Gateway Monitor.
  2. Enter your administrative user credentials (contact your administrator or Citrix Technical Support if you have forgotten the credentials).
A Virtual Network Computing (VNC)-like window appears with the License Monitor window open. Extensions are sorted in ascending order.

  1. To change the status of a phone, right-click the phone and click Toggle Status.

More Information

If you have not installed a license that includes support for IP phones, no phones are listed in the License Monitor.
