How to Upgrade the Application Gateway

Summary

This article describes how to upgrade your Application Gateway.

Requirements

You are notified when server software upgrades are available. For additional information about an upgrade, refer to the release notes provided with the upgrade.

Before you upgrade an Application Gateway, you might need to look up your current Application Gateway version.

To display the version of your installed Application Gateway:

In the Administration Tool, go to the Logging > Version page.

Note: When you upload a server upgrade, the Application Gateway drops the active sessions; it is best to upgrade the server when you know that traffic is at a minimum.

Procedure

Download the upgrade file from the designated FTP to your local network. Citrix will notify you about the location of upgrade files. If you cannot locate the upgrade file or do not know which upgrade file to use, contact a support representative.
In the Application Gateway Administration Tool, go to the Administration > Maintenance page.
Across from Upload Server Upgrade or Saved Config, click Browse.
Locate the upgrade file that you want to upload and click Open.
Click Upload to upload the upgrade to the Application Gateway.
Follow the prompt to restart your Application Gateway.

More Information
