How to Enable or Disable the Presentation Server Functionality in the EdgeSight Server

This article summarizes how to enable and/or disable the Citrix Presentation Server functionality within the EdgeSight Server. Whether you are enabling or disabling this feature, follow the procedure below to determine your current setting and adjust it as needed.

Requirements

To perform this function you must be logged on to the EdgeSight Server console as an EdgeSight Administrator.

You do not need to reinstall the EdgeSight Server software in order to enable or disable the Citrix Presentation Server functionality. This functionality is installed by default during the installation regardless of the setting you choose.

Procedure

The Citrix Presentation Server reports are distributed throughout the report sections in the left-hand navigation menu and are not all contained in one menu item. You must confirm the existence of the Citrix Presentation Server-related reports.

Navigate to the All Reports section at the bottom left of the navigation menu to search for Citrix-based reports.
Use the wildcard *ica* in the Filter field and click Go.
If you see a list of reports containing the *ica* string, the EdgeSight for Presentation Server functionality is enabled. If you see no reports it is disabled.

To enable/disable the Citrix Presentation Server functionality:

Navigate to the Server Settings > Configuration > Settings page and scroll to the bottom.
Select or clear the Enable EdgeSight for Presentation Server Support check box to enable/disable the Citrix Presentation Server functionality.
Click the OK button below the Enable EdgeSight for Presentation Server Support check box.

For EdgeSight 4.5 perform the following:

1. Navigate to Server Settings > Configuration > Settings page.

2. Under the section titiled EdgeSight Features, set the EdgeSight Feature Mode to EndPoint Support Only.

3. Click OK – Update the EdgeSight Feature Settings.
