Symptoms
The following error message is received:
Error: Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.
MPG files with Windows Media Player 9 or 10 fail to open when "SpeedScreen Multimedia Acceleration" is enabled.
After double-clicking an MPG file, Windows Media Player starts, an "ActiveMovie Window" window appears, and Windows Media Player stops with error code 0xC00D1199 pointing to a codec issue.


The issue occurs in a published desktop or in a published Windows Media Player.
MPG files play directly on the server and client machine (outside an ICA session).
RealPlayer works fine in both situations.
Cause
Client Audio is disabled on the listener setting and wasn’t set in the published application properties or on the client settings.
Resolution
Enable audio on the application set settings of the client or in the published application properties.


-Or-
Disable SpeedScreen Multimedia Acceleration.
