Release Notes for Citrix Presentation Server™ Client for FOMA® M1000, Version 4.01
Release Note Version: 2.0
Introduction
This document contains details of new features in the Citrix Presentation Server Client for FOMA M1000, Version 4.x. It also describes limitations, issues resolved, and known issues in Version 4.01 of the client.
New Features in Version 4.x
Web Interface for Citrix Presentation Server support
You can use the Web Interface to authenticate and launch client sessions.
Secure connection support
You can use TLS/SSL encryption to secure session data between the client and services such as Citrix Access Gateway, Citrix Secure Gateway and Citrix SSL Relay.
Panning and scaling
Because remote sessions are often larger than the actual screen size of the client device, you may need to pan (scroll) the screen to move around the remote desktop or scale (resize) the remote desktop so that you can see it all on your screen.
To pan a remote desktop that is larger than the viewable area on the client device, use the navigation keys.
To scale a remote desktop, use the button in the centre of the navigation keys. This button switches the display between normal, scaled and landscape modes. When scaled mode is selected, the remote desktop is scaled to fit your screen.
Landscape mode
You can display sessions in either normal (portrait) or landscape mode. To switch between normal, scaled, and landscape modes, use the button in the centre of the navigation keys.
Client drive mapping
Client drive mapping can make any directory on the client device available to the user during ICA sessions. Users can access their locally stored files, work with them, and then save them again either on a local drive or on a drive on the server.
To enable or disable client drive mapping (it is enabled by default), select Menu > Tools > Preferences > Defaults, then select or clear the Enable Drive Mapping check box.
When drive mapping is configured, the client attempts to use it for all connections. If the server does not support drive mapping, drive mapping is not available.
Transparent clipboard access
Users can cut, copy, and paste text between applications running remotely on the server and locally on the client device.
Issues Resolved in Version 4.01
Closing the client
The client did not respond to system requests to close.

Memory leak
Displaying application graphics sometimes leaked memory.

Limitations and Known Issues in Version 4.01
Reconnecting to Microsoft Windows 2003 Servers with Service Pack 1
The client does not reconnect to sessions on Windows 2003 Servers with Service Pack 1. Citrix Knowledge Base article CTX108150 at:
http://support.citrix.com/kb/entry.jspa?externalID=CTX108150
describes how to solve this issue.
[127619]
Reconnecting to Thinwire 2 sessions
The client uses Thinwire 1 to display client sessions. Attempts to reconnect to Thinwire 2 sessions fail, and the client is disconnected. To avoid this issue, ensure that you do not have any active or disconnected Thinwire 2 sessions when using the client to access applications.
[128007]
Reconnecting to Thinwire 1 sessions
Thinwire 1 reconnects only to sessions that are of the same color depth and screen size as requested. If the existing sessions have different color depth or screen size, a new session is created.
[129273]
Web browser display issues
In the Web Interface welcome page, the Log in and User name fields are incorrectly displayed by the client’s Web browser. Also, characters that are not part of the standard Japanese and English character sets may not be displayed correctly in the Web browser. These issues do not affect functionality: all Web Interface features operate correctly.
[128359, 128360]
Installing certificates
The client and client manager cannot install certificates, and attempting to securely browse for applications without an appropriate certificate may close the current dialog box. To avoid this issue, install any required certificates using the Web browser or the Certificate Manager before attempting to either connect to a session or browse published applications using a secure connection.
[128769]
Copying files to client drives
Sessions may time out and disconnect when you are copying files between the server and client drives. Typically this occurs when animations from Microsoft Windows Explorer are being processed. To avoid this issue, copy files using a command prompt.
[128611]
Animated graphics in a Microsoft Internet Explorer Web page cause the client to freeze
Citrix recommends that you disable options to play animations, sounds, and videos in Microsoft Internet Explorer because they can overload the client.
[1611]
Browsing a long list of published applications may cause a time-out
The HTTP browser server has a time limit for listing available applications. If reading the list of applications takes longer than this, the list may be truncated. To retrieve more applications either try again or increase the server time-out value.
[95339]
Sharing clipboard data between client sessions
Copying and pasting clipboard data between two published applications in different sessions sometimes fails. If this happens, try copying and pasting using a local application on the client device.
