Symptoms
The following error message occurs when attempting to access a document using the Web Interface for Microsoft SharePoint content redirection feature:
“Could not open http://localhost/Document Library/Web Interface for SharePoint Administration Console.doc”
Cause
This occurs if the SharePoint Server is accessed using the localhost address.
Resolution
To resolve this issue use the FQDN, IP, or NetBIOS name of the SharePoint Server.
