Known Issue(s) in this Release

Secure Gateway Replacement

Starting with Access Gateway 4.0, functionality available in Secure Gateway for Presentation Server is resident on the appliance. If you currently use Secure Gateway to enable remote access to your Presentation Server deployment, then you can replace your Secure Gateway server with an Access Gateway appliance.

If you are upgrading to Version 4.2 of Access Gateway with Advanced Access Control, you must replace your Secure Gateway server with an Access Gateway appliance to provide secure access to resources.

To configure the Web Interface for use with Access Gateway, follow the instructions to enable Secure Gateway integration; however, instead of providing the fully-qualified domain name (FQDN) of a Secure Gateway server, use the FQDN of the Access Gateway appliance.

For details on the steps required to configure Web Interface, refer to the appropriate Web Interface Administrator’s Guide for your version of Web Interface.

Issue(s) Resolved in this Hotfix

    1. This feature enhancement adds SmartAccess support to the Web Interface, so that you can control user access to available Presentation Server applications through the use of policies and filters. This allows, for example, the use of endpoint analysis as a condition for application access. This functionality is achieved by integrating the Access Gateway Enterprise Logon Agent components with the Web Interface and Presentation Server. This provides advanced authentication and access control options to the Web Interface using logon points.

[From Hotfix ASC400W001]

    1. This feature enhancement adds Navigation page integration support to the Web Interface, so that you can embed a MetaFrame Presentation Server site in the Advanced Access Control default navigation page. Users then access their network resources, such as Web sites, email, and applications, directly. This removes the requirement to publish a MetaFrame Presentation Server site as a link accessed from the default navigation page.

[From Hotfix ASC400W004]

    1. This feature enhancement adds enhanced content redirection support to the Web Interface, so that you can enable and disable content redirection for both individual and groups of Program Neighborhood Agent Services sites, overriding any content redirection settings configured for MetaFrame Presentation Server.

For more information about these features, see the Web Interface for MetaFrame Presentation Server Administrator's Guide located in the hotfix installation directory or on the Citrix Web site (CTX107795).

This is the Console component of the feature enhancement. To get the full feature enhancement, you must also upgrade to Version 4.2 of the Web Interface and Access Gateway.
