Using SpeedScreen Latency Reduction Manager to Discover a Window Class Name

Summary

This document describes how to use SpeedScreen Latency Reduction Manager to discover a window class name. In some cases, SpeedScreen Latency Reduction Manager can be used as an alternative to using Spy++ when trying to discover a window class name.

Resolution

The following steps are used to discover a window class name. This is required for resolving some seamless windows issues:

1. Launch SpeedScreen Latency Reduction Manager from the ICA Toolbar.

2. Click New.

3. Click Next.

4. Browse to the application in question, in this case Excel.exe is selected.

5. Click Next.

6. Click Next.

7. Click Next.

8. Click Finish.

9. Double-click the application.

10. Click the Input Field Configuration tab and click New.

11. Click Next.

12. Start the application and click Next.

13. Using the left mouse button, drag the pointer over the application to find out the window class name for each window.
