Error: No charts generated ... When Trying to Generate a Report

Document ID: CTX106752   /   Created On: Jul 1, 2005   /   Updated On: Apr 16, 2008
Average Rating: 1

Symptoms

The "No charts generated" error message is received when trying to generate a report from the License Management Console.

Cause

The user is connecting to the Windows 2003 Citrix License server using mstsc /console.

Note: Using the mstsc /console switch to a Windows 2000 server starts an actual RDP session.

When creating the charts, the following folder is created:

\Program Files\Citrix\Licensing\LMC\Tomcat\webapps\lmc\charts\<number>

However, the following files are not generated as they should be:

product_report0.htm
product_report0.png
product_report1.rif
product_report_toc.htm
product_report_toc.rif
samlogo.gif

Also, an error message is generated in the stdout.log:

[Wed Mar 30 15:35:24 CEST 2005]: EVENT level 1:
com.macrovision.samreport.LmcGenerator.statusPrintln(): SAMREPORT:
Warning: Unable to read report log C:\Program

NOTICE="For use only with LMC"

For further information, refer to the FLEXlm End Users Guide,
available at "www.macrovision.com". Continuing...

Workaround

Reboot the license server and log into the console using a RDP or ICA connection. Do not use the mstsc /console switch.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in version 11.3 of the Citrix License Server (released March 8, 2007), which is the same version of the Citrix License Server included on the Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 installation media.

Upgrade to this or a later version of the Citrix Licensing Server to resolve this issue. Citrix Licensing Server is always backward compatible with earlier Citrix product versions that require a Citrix Licensing Server.

You can obtain version 11.3 of the Citrix License Server by logging on to the MyCitrix Web site and downloading it (this requires a MyCitrix user name and password).
