Failed To Inherit Set as Default Printer Setting If a Client Device Has Several Printers

Document ID: CTX106745   /   Created On: Jun 1, 2005   /   Updated On: Feb 15, 2006
Average Rating: 2

Symptoms

If a client device has more than three printers, a published application fails to inherit the Set as Default Printer setting of auto-created printers properly from the client settings.

Causes

A printer set as the default printer on a client machine is acknowledged as the Set as Default Printer at printer auto-creation when a user launches a published application. If a client device has more than three printers, printer election for Set as Default Printer sometimes doesn't work properly. Therefore, another printer is selected as the default printer erroneously.
