Symptoms
An application installation fails when using Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).
Resolution
If you are installing an application into an isolation environment, the application setup program must be run on the console of the Presentation server to which it is being deployed. This requirement is true even if you are installing the application outside an isolation environment.
Installing applications using an RDP connection to the server may have unexpected results. For example, an Office 2000 installation does not succeed when it is run in an RDP session.
