Symptoms
The following warning message is displayed when using a .cap file to install MetaFrame Windows CE Client to Windows Mobile 2003 software for Pocket PC Second Edition.
"The installed program is for old version of Windows Mobile software, it may not display correctly."
This problem does not occur when using an .exe file to install it from a PC.
Cause
Windows CE checks for which versions of the operating system the application being installed needs, not for which it can support. This causes the warning message. Even though this message pops up, the MetaFrame client itself is installed correctly.
Resolution
Use an .exe file to install the MetaFrame Windows CE Client from a PC.
