Issue

When attempting to launch published applications using NFuse or the Web Interface from a Macintosh client device, users received the following error message:

Connection to server <IP> failed: error: 51.

This error is a general network/connection error. It is a “connection closed” type of error. There may be many reasons why this occurs.

Resolutions

• On the client device, open the ICA Client Editor, go to the Options, Default Settings menu, and change the Network Protocol from TCP/IP + HTTP to TCP/IP.

• Insert a valid TCP/IP + HTTP browser address.

• Check the Event Viewer for 1004 error messages CTX564283 - Troubleshooting 1003 and 1004 Terminal Server Licensing Errors.

• Restart the Macintosh Client device.

• This issue occurred when sending large amounts of data from the server to mapped drives on an ICA Macintosh or UNIX Client device. This issue was first resolved with a new Cdm.sys in Hotfix XE101W017.EXE for MetaFrame XP 1.0 for Windows 2000. This hotfix is now part of Service Pack 2
