Internal Error 2755 when Installing Citrix Products Using MSI Files

Symptoms

Internal Error 2755 when installing Citrix Products or Services Packs via msi packages.

Event ID 10005 in MsiInstaller

Cause

The installation file is most likely being executed from a mapped drive.

Resolution

Installing service packs directly from the console is a recommended Citrix best practice.

Copy the installation files directly to the server drive and then launch the msi file or specify a UNC path within the execute statement.
